When positioned with the handles down the full 20" x 12" surface is available for slicing dicing or carving. A plate or platter may be positioned under the board for easy transfer of ingredients. When positioned with the handles up, the board features a 15" x 9" surface inside a stair step juice moat. This allows the board to be used in carving to reserve juices for marinating and also as a serving platter for prepared foods and sauces.
